I grew up in the Chassidish neighborhood of Boro Park, Brooklyn, which, as you might guess, had a tremendous impact on my approach to life. Cue a youthful identity and religious crisis, and I hightailed it to Israel to spend a year and a half at a seminary for people learning about Judaism for the first time. I then met my Dutch convert husband and went through WWIII to marry him, but all's well that ends well, and after a brief stint in the beautiful mountains of Safed, we moved to Memphis, TN, where we spent 5 years learning that the South was not New York, after which we moved to New Jersey, which is basically New York with backyards.
I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology, English, and Judaic studies at the University of Memphis, and an MBA at Rutgers University with a concentration in entrepreneurship and marketing, as well as a Project Management Professional certification. I've worked in a variety of fields because life is too interesting to do one thing.
My ultimate dream is to write novels and work in the entertainment industry. I currently run a podcast analyzing stories.
One of my proudest achievements is helping found Project Makom and running it for its first years. Also, donating a kidney.
